Uromi Agog as Serguis Ogun Rehabilitates Failed Sections of Federal Roads
By The9jaTrend
The rehabilitation work which began last month, October, 2020, has recorded appreciable progress as Egbele and Ivue-Taxona-New Agbor roads have been rehabilitated to the relief of residents and road users.
Upon his inauguration as member of the National Assembly in 2015, Hon Serguis Ogun had taken it upon himself to facilitate the completion of all abandoned and uncompleted federal road projects in Agbazilo.
In line with his unwavering commitment to improving the conditions of federal roads in the constituency, Hon. Ogun has been mounting pressure on the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, and the concerned contractors with a view to completing all abandoned and uncompleted federal road projects in Agbazilo.
While recounting how he influenced the ongoing rehabilitation of the roads, Rt. Hon. Ogun said: "I had opened up a discussion with the management of Setraco on emergency repair of the failed sections of the roads in Uromi after my discussion with *Hon John Yakubu* last month.
"The Controller, South-South, Federal Ministry of Works & Housing confirmed what Setraco management told me about their expatriates not back to the country since the COVID 19 break out.
"However, following the easing of the lock down, Setraco management and the Controller, South-South worked together to return to the road to carry out work on the failed sections as promised," he explained.

Obaseki’s Reforms: EdoJobs, Curators Varsity Graduate Pioneer Teen Data Scientists
Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs) and Curators University has graduated the pioneer set of Teen Data Scientists trained on Programming using Python and other tools.
Managing Director, EdoJobs, Ukinebo Dare, in a chat with The9jaTrend in Benin, said the new graduands have been bequeathed with skills to kick-start early careers in data science and Artificial Intelligence, noting that the development is in line with Governor Godwin Obaseki’s drive to equip youths with in-demand skills.
Curators University is Africa's first high impact nano-degree awarding technology university, offering cutting edge technology and entrepreneurship education suited for the 21st century industry.
According to Ukinebo, “We have just graduated the pioneer set of our teen data scientists, who have been equipped with skills in data science and Artificial Intelligence. They were selected from a pool of persons who applied for the capacity building workshop that was advertised earlier on our platforms. The graduands have gone through a rigorous training that makes them better prepared to confront a fast changing, data-driven world.
“The training took place at the Edo Innovation Hub. They were taught by the best hands around and we are certain that if we keep catching them young as we have just done, we would be a step closer to discouraging more young people from social vices in our communities today.”
The Programme Lead, Edo Innovation Hub, Asemota Izoduwa, said the training programme was targeted at introducing the teenagers to the world of data science and artificial intelligence, noting that they have been equipped with skills to compete favourably and pursue early careers in data science.
“We have just graduated 25 students from the teen data science programme and are looking forward to training more people. This is an opportunity that they would always be proud of as they now have resources to further improve on the skills learned. We are looking forward to training more young persons in this area.”
