Hon. Monday Igbinigie, immediate past First Member, National Board For Technical Education, Edo State has congratulated His Excellency, the executive governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Phillip Shaibu on their victory at the court last Saturday in Abuja.
Hon. Igbinigie stated that the victory was long expected, and "if anybody chooses to go to court 100 times, Governor Godwin Obaseki will come out victorious 100 times.
He made this comments during chat with the9jatrend in Benin City. "l will say, the victory is for democracy, you and your deputy are standing as symbol for Edo people to fight godfatherism and also a symbol to let the people lead. l encourage Your Excellency and your deputy to continue in that stead because, Edo people are solidly behind your government."

Going further, Hon. Igbinigie assured the governor that Edo people are solidly behind him.
"We, the Edo people are supporting you 100 per cent, continue to do whatever you know how to do best for the betterment of the state as far as it will transform and bring the dividend of democracy to the doorstep of the people.
"His Excellency, do not relent, you should not be detracted, continue to be focused on whatever you are doing so that, at the end of your tenure, history will have you to be remembered for good governance," he concluded.
