Imansuangbon Gives Quit Notice To Obaseki, Purchase LP Nomination Forms

A frontline governorship aspirant in Edo State on the platform of Labour Party (LP), Barrister Ken Imasuagbon, has obtained the LP's Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, stating that the forms symbolised a yellow card to ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as the main opposition the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Imasuagbon who was at the party’s National headquarters in Utako District Abuja on Thursday, stated that if he secured the ticket of the party, the yellow card would translate to a red card to what he called the “failed PDP-led administration in the state and Adam Oshiomhole-led APC”.

The governorship hopeful who was accompanied by many students and market women in two coaster buses from Benin to Abuja said the Benin citizens had contributed the sum N25 million for the purchase the form.

The legal practitioner popularly called Mr Rice said he had laboured for 20 years to support the people of his state, especially, sponsoring indigent students in schools as well as feeding the poor.

He added that it was his turn to be rewarded by the people.

The Forms was handed over to him by the National Organising Secretary, Mr. Clement Ojukwu, the National Secretary, Umar Farouk as well as the National Youth leader of the party Mr Kennedy Ahanotu.

After handing over the forms to the gubernatorial aspirant, the National Organising Secretary, Mr. Ojukwu, assured that all the aspirants numbering 30 would be given a level playing field in a free and fair state congresses. 

He noted that Chief Imasuagbon had fulfilled all conditions as a party chieftain before he was considered worthy to be given the nomination forms.
