Rt. Hon. (Barr) Sergius Oseasochie Ogun, member representing Esan South-East/Esan North-East Federal Constituency in the National Assembly  has congratulated  Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki and his deputy Comrade Phillip Shaibu for joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).  

In a press statement made available to media practitioners, Barr. Ogun welcome the wake and see governor and his deputy to the PDP family.

"On behalf of the PDP family in Agbazilo in particular and Edo State in general, I wholeheartedly welcome the Wake and See Governor of Edo State Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his loyal deputy Comrade Phillip Shaibu to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). I have no doubt in my mind that your coming will be a blessing to the party in many ways. I am glad that your defection has inevitably marked the annihilation of the APC in the South-South geo-political zone." 

"I assured you my total support and loyalty as you assumes the leadership of our great party the PDP which remains the largest party of true democrats in Africa".

"As a party, we are proud of your giant strides in the last 43 months and we are more than ready to work with you to move  the state to greater heights of development and prosperity. Welcome home Your Excellency.  Edo State will not return to Egypt.  Affliction will not rise a second time. Forward ever" the statement concluded.
