The Executive Chairman of Oredo Government Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki has assured traders of the popular Ekiosa Market of the government's early reconstruction for easy accessibility.

              Executive Chairman,
         Oredo Local Govt Council

Dr. Obaseki disclosed this on Monday 29th January, 2024 when he undertook an assessment tour of the market to evaluate work done so far.

The recent development is aimed at the government's efforts to fulfill the plight of traders who lost millions of naira to the fire incident that engulfed the market sometime in August 2019.

Obaseki reiterated the desire of the council to build a modern structure for desiring traders who had agreed during a social engagement to relocate to temporary locations to allow the construction.

He hailed Governor Godwin Obaseki for the financial support adding that with the huge sum required to complete the massive project, there is no way the Council would have been able to shoulder the bill

While urging the traders to continue to believe in the system as the council was willing to complete the project and relocate the traders to the market, he commended them for their confidence reposed in the Council.

Reacting to the inspection tour, some traders including Madam Ogiamien hailed the mastery of the Council Chairman for heeding and embarking on the construction work, just as she appealed for a speedy intervention.
