…partner Edo in Youth Football Development

Metz International Football Academy of France has unveiled Youth Football Academy in Benin City, Edo State capital.
Speaking in Benin City during the unveiling ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dynamo Football Academy, Harrison Okaka who is also the representative of Metz FC Football Academy in Nigeria called on Football Academies in Edo State to made good use of the opportunity by ensuring that young players under their watch benefit from the programme.
He maintained that Edo State was chosen by Management of Metz Academy in France because of the caliber of football stars that Edo state has produced in the past.
“I want to thank God for given Edo State this opportunity. Metz International Football of France, you will agree with me is one of the best football academy in the world that has produced world football starts. So, for them to select Edo State for the establishment of their football Academy means that they want Edo State upcoming footballers to excel their chosen career. As you all know, football across the globe over has become real business of fame making and Metz International Football Academy is a household name in grooming young stars.
"So, I am very happy today that Metz FC is partnering with Dynamo FC Academy and Edo State government to train our young players and coaches so that they can realized their dreams of becoming big names in the round leather business.”
“As agents and football managers, we are all familiar with successes of some Nigerian players who have passed through various football academies, who also by extension have made their managers proud financially. The case of Victor Osimhen the Nigeria International who is now a hot cake in Europe is a good example. I want to urge us to key into this programme, and also announce that the Technical Director of Metz FC International and his team has slated their visit to Edo State for November where they will organize seminars for coaches and players. They will also select some coaches to undergo one year theory and practical training programme in the Academy in France."
The event was attended by Special Assistant to Edo State Governor on Sports, Fred Eronmosele, Football Academy owners, male and female Under 14-15 players, Edo State Sports Council Football Coaches and other football stakeholders in the state.
