Edo PDP Set Up 6 Member Impact Monitoring Committee Per Ward

...enjoins all Edo People to participate in enlightenment and mobilization of New Registrants

State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) meeting with twelve of the fourteen members present held at the state Party Secretariat on Monday, 5 July, 2021 and it was Chaired by its Chairman, Hon Tony Aziegbemi.

At the meeting, an Impact Monitoring Committee was setup in the 192 wards of the state . The committee is made up of : The Ward Chairman, The Ward Secretary, The Ward Woman Leader, The Ward Youth Leader and two others nominated by the Ward. 

They are to monitor, mobilize and enlighten residents of voting age to come out and register during this CVR exercise of INEC.

You will recall that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process with an option for online registration where a date for biometric capture can be obtained with effect from July 19, 2021.

According to INEC, to be eligible to register to vote, an individual must be: A Nigerian citizen, You must be eighteen (18) years old and above.

Ordinarily resides, work in, or originate from the Local Government Area (LGA), Council, or ward covered by the Commission’s registration officers for voter registration.

Free from any incapacity to vote under any Nigerian law; Present himself/herself to the Commission’s registration officer for registration as a voter, and Must not be subject to any incapacity to vote under any Nigerian law.


The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo state enjoins all Edo people, especially the members of the Impact Monitoring Committee to participate in the enlightenment, mobilization and monitoring of the process as elections are fast approaching, and your vote is the only way for you to be heard.
