Edo State EPAN Confers Philip Ogbaudu Patron

Edo State Chapter of Elderly Persons  Of Nigeria (EPAN) has conferred on Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Philip Aluyi Ogbaudu Patron of the Association for his support, information gathering, improved security in the state and generally promoting a better mutual understanding between the police and the communities.

The honour was bestowed on the Edo State Commissioner of Police when the Association pay him Courtesy Visit in the office in Benin City.

In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Association, Chief Hon. Eddy Ogbomo JP said the only way of making Edo State C.P. closer, is to honour him as Patron of the Association. 

"Our way of making you closer to us is to honour you on this visit by conferring on you the position of Patron of the Elderly Persons Association of Nigeria (EPAN),  Edo State chapter.

"We observed that your taking over Edo Command is at a time of insecurity in Nigeria, and Edo State is no exception, from what we gathered, we observed that you have met your challenges creditably within your resources of men and material. We commend you.

"We hope going forward; we can be useful partners either in suggesting how our police can serve us better in our communities and how we can, even if elderly contribute to the welfare of your men. 

"In return, we hope your men will regard us and treat us more kindly.  After all, your slogan 'the police is your friend' and we want also to be your constant friends."

In his acceptance speech, Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Philip Aluyi Ogbaudu wholeheartedly appreciated the honour done him and promise to partner with the Elderly in other to make Edo State crime free society.

According to him, "words of the elders are words of wisdom. Anything your Association is doing, fee free to reach out to me and l am ready to partner with your Association."
