Go Beg For Forgiveness From HRH Anselm Aidonogie II - Orbih Urges Oshiomhole

By Simeon OSAJIE

National Vice Chairman, South-South of People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Chairman, Edo 2020 Campaign Council, Chief Dan Osi Orbih has advised former Edo State governor and former National Chairman of Action Progressive Congress, APC, Adams Alliu Oshiomhole to go beg for forgiveness from His Highness, the Ojuromi of Uromi, Anselm Aidonogie II over the suspension he slammed while he was the  Executive Governor of the state.

Chief Dan Orbih gave this advice when he unveiled Governor Godwin Obaseki Outside Campaign Visual Unit situated at  Kingsqure, Ring Road, Benin City.

Orbih who debunked APC claims during its campaign tour to Edo Central Senatorial District that the suspension of His Royal Highness was at the instance of Governor Obaseki, lambasted the former state governor, Adams Oshiomhole  over what he termed short memory.

"At the time the Ojuromi of Uromi was suspended, Oshiomhole was still the governor of Edo State. The person that lifted that suspension was the current governor of Edo state. So, APC and Oshiomhole should go back and check their facts right.

"I know that there was a lot of things Oshiomhole did while he was in office and today, he is regretting the action. This is while he is going around kneeling down and asking for people's forgiveness.

"So, all he should do is to go with his candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to the Ojuromi of Uromi and kneel down for forgiveness just as he has been doing across the state.

According to him "there is no point trying to change the story; he was the executive governor at the time the Onojie was suspended and when the current governor took over, he lifted the suspension.

"For us as a political party, the issues for the 2020 election are quite clear. Do we want to go backward where people will be suspended for no just course and to come back few years after to say, if you have the opportunity, you will do same and a few days later, you came back to say the suspension was instigated by someone who was not the governor of the state.

Chief Orbih therefore called on political office holders particularly politicians to learn from the mistake of others and  behave like honourable people.

"If you take decision you should be able to stand by it, not to start changing or kneeling for forgiveness for the decision well informed.  You don't take decision  that you will regret later. I think that is a lesson for those aspiring for an elective positions", Chief Orbih said.
