Hon. Peter Aguele, Executive Chairman, Esan South-East local government council has donated instructional materials to some public schools in the council area.
While representing the council chairman, the Special Assistant on Publicity and News Media, Ehikioya Agboga assured that it's a new dawn for all public schools in the council area, noting the era where children from public schools are relegated as low standard is over.
While assuring of his administration's commitment in developing the educational sector and delivering the dividends of democracy to the good people of the council areas, Hon. Peter Aguele encouraged the beneficiaries to key into the educational transformation agenda "Edo Best" of the Governor Godwin Obaseki led government by plying the items and materials received into good use capable of overhauling the educational standards of our children for a better society.
Speaking on behalf of the benefitting schools; the Headmistress of Adava Primary School, Ugboha, Mrs. Iyere thanked the council Chairman for the donations and assured the materials will be judiciously used and pleaded with the council Boss of the need to encourage parents/guardians towards erasing the stigma of complex attached to public schools by bringing their children/wards to public schools for registration.
"The academic standards presently operated in public schools through the "Edo Best" educational programs is world class designed to completely turn around the educational fortune of every child who are leaders of tomorrow and I thanked the council Chairman for his people's oriented programmes and open door policy" she opined.
